We are changing our road course to a flat oval for the next month and a half or so. Has anybody had any experience racing this kind of track? I'm looking for some setup ideas for the TC3 in particular.

i heard you use wd-40 for tire sauce.... 15 degrees front toe-in, and 30 degrees camber front and rear...

btw, ditch the stock tires, and install Pro-Line T-maxx Step-Pins front and rear..... this will do "wonders" for your handling... you won't even beleive the grip you get on a paved oval with these tires... (note- gearing change may be required)

also... if you have a C-2 or 7.1.... toss'em.... everybody knows the hot oval set up for an esc is the stock E-maxx Esc (not the new novak, but the original ones, the ones Traxxas owners call "old smokie")... they ROCK...

TC-3's are 4wd.... that rod that runs from the back to the front adds far too much weight for oval use.... so throw it away... everybody knows 2wd rules in oval, and you save a bunch of weight....

as far as bodies go.... the parma school bus body gives excellent downforce at high speeds.... one coat of yellow paint and you are track ready..!!

have a great friday Idaho... :) :) :) :)

peace out... :)

disclaimer- this reply is ment only for IR, only his "special" driving skills can make this "hot" set-up work..... LMAO..

Parma School bus huh? It certainly would get noticed. I was thinking that if I taped a cinder block to the left side that would give me some good blance on the corners..
Thanks for the laugh Howard...

BTW, the house should be done on the 27th. Close on the 30th. I've come a long way from living in my 76 Chev pickup 6 years ago...God Bless America!!!!!!!

Fridays are always good.

btw... i never thought of the cinder block hop-up before... i'll see if it works as well off road as on next weekend...

LMAO....

peace out.... :)

Next, I have to work out a way to cut that sucker loose at the right time. Kind of a Spyhunter sort of thing...

If you are running saddle packs, You can mount the electronics on the battery strap. It adds a little weight on the left. As for tires, get regular tire on the right, and low-profiles on the left. I would run 4wd.
