whats up, I got my new tc3 finally running last night, and I must say the pollen out here in GA is NNNNAAAASSSSTTTAAAAYYYY. My question is will this hurt anything to have the car coated in it? I drove it last night and the car came back to me yellow. I cleaned it up, and ran it again today, and all was well but it was covered again. Anything you guys think I should look out for on it? I"m brand new to electrics, coming from nasty nitro. thanks a lot.

I try to keep my whole car clean, but the most important parts to keep clean from dust (or pollen) are the motor, bearings, and gear meshes. At least take care of those parts.

Yuck. I remember that nasty pollen. I lived in Atlanta for 3 years. It would turn my red Tacoma orange...from a distance. The thing about pollen is that it can get an electrostatic charge which makes it hold on for dear life when you're trying to clean it off. Just do as Brian (Nairb) says and you should be fine.

Hmm, never had pollen all over my car, but I did have FLEAS! Yep, zipped my Rustler through my neighbours yard and when I went to change the battery pack, fleas were hoppin' around! Yuck!

Yup, we've got the pollen blues down here in LA too. It got so bad last month with my tc3 that after 2 runs the motor quit. When I got home I found that it was CHOKED with the stuff. Hosed it out with the compressor and everything was fine. I had to tape off the motor cut out in the chassis to keep it from happening so much. Yes I know this affects cooling but I gotta run it....

I'm using a soft bristled brush, and am blowing on it. I will run out and get a can of compressed air tomorrow, and blow it off thouroughly after each run. How in depth should I got to clean it? should I strip it all the way down? I will do it in a heartbeat if there is the chance something could be seriously damaged if I don't. thanks all, John

Definetly tear your car down...I made that mistake when I ran a T3 through lucious green grass...don't ask...

Hmmm... A Rustler with a flea collar... lol

I raced saturday and the pollen on the track was like ice. We were slidding all over the place. I used some canned air to blow my car off. Of course I used electric motor cleaner on the motor. yuck, I hope it rains soon so it can clean all this crap off the roads and tracks.
