I was wondering witch equipment i should use for an RC10L3O. Are the trinity drag works motors with cobalt magnets any good. I was thinking about the 7 turn one. They say it can pull about 67,000 RPMs on 6 volts! Any help would be appreciated.

God you must be going for light speed. LMAO. That should do fine, but I think theres 6x1's. (little more power) Just make sure your car can handle it. Plus more cells would would do better. 8 or 9 would be insane. LOL.Goodluck!

Put a brushless motor on it like they did in the magazine. And run lots of cells and gear it high. Just make sure you have plenty of room to drive it, cause if you dont something could jump out in front of it and hurt it (like a brick wall or a trash can http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif. Good Luck.

Make sure you take out an insurance policy to protect against liable when the thing:
- Causes a sonic-boom that blows out windows
- Goes airborne and damages a low flying plane
- Drives to close too some lady's dog and sux the wind outta it
Seriously, brushless is your best choice because of the way it scales.

I think a 6 or 7 turn will be more powerfull than the brushless motors coming out.

What turns will the novak brushless motors be offered in? Also will foam tires work for going real fast or will they fly apart?

The 6 or 7 turn will have nothing on the brushless motor I said. And I meen nothing. If he uses 10 cells (which is the limit on the esc it comes with) he will be pulling 85200 rpm's !!!!!!! I am seriuos. The ad even says OUTDOOR USE ONLY, NOT FOR USE INDOOR UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I am still thinking about getting one my TC3. But good luck with whatever you do. And for now dont worry about the Novak one, I think its overrated. But I am sure it will still be great.

Chances are they'll fly apart...hehe...with that many RPM's...check on the article with the TC3 and RC10L3 they used...use what they use and they shouldn't fly apart.

when I get 300$ I will get the aeoxe 2-turn brushless (or what ever!) :) and set it in a Directed drive car (mabey trinity) and set in around 24 cells and try to break the record! ;) :D   :p :) yeah right!

If the foam tires don't fly apart they probably will chunk real bad which is just as bad. I would suggest using Jaco Caped tires. There is a guy on this board that has a 10L3O doing 65-70 Mph and that is what he uses for Veledome racing. He also uses the 64 pitch gears instead of 48 pitch for less friction, with a product called "White Lightening" for lube on the gears to reduce friction. He said a good bicycle shop should have this stuff since that is what the bicyclists use on there chains. He runs a P2K motor with 41T pinion and a 64T spur, remember they are 64 pitch.
