Got a question for you guys.... Recently I dug my old Double Dare truck out from the closet and started to use it again after 5 years. Of course I had to buy a few upgrades such as an electronic servo, new battery, etc. I just got a Sanyo 1700 (poor redneck budget here LOL) and I'm only getting 6 to 8 minutes out of it. Could it be since I'm using and old LE charger that it runs out so fast? Please help, I'm desperate!!

1700's should give you about that much.

6-8 minutes isnt that bad if you want more runtime look at 2000s or 2400s

if ya want more runtime just use a smaller pinion. or a bigger spur... It will go slower, but the runtime will be betta.

Joe-Only to a certain extent. If you gear down too low there will be very little drag on teh motor and it will over-rev and drain power more quickly.

6-8 minutes is about right.

You say you using an "old LE charger." What's LE? If it's a timed charger, then the batteries may not be fully charged. Make sure they are warm when they come off the charger. If they aren't, charge them until they are. Otherwise, consider yourself lucky with 6-8 minutes from a 1700 pack.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the comments. Guess I'd better get me a more powerful battery, huh? LOL. I just came back with a 2400 like Bryceums suggested. Alot longer run time. Thanks again and I'll buzz ya again if I have anymore questions. Later.....
