tl01 problems

I just got a 23 tooth metric pinion for my tl01. Before i installed it, the stock 19T pinion was very quiet. When i installed my new 23T from robinson racing, it was really loud and sounded horrible, like i was breaking it. i noticed that the pinion is a little too far from the counter gear. Has anyone else had this problem? what should i do?

i think you have the wrong pinion... you gotta use tamiya type cause the pitch is different...

I heard on several different boards that the metric pinion are what tamiya uses. A lot of people told me that the metric 23T robinson is the way to go...
