ok, i just got my new novak dually in the mail, and i have a huge problem. it is a 3 wire system, where the 2 wires go to the positive and negative parts of the battery. and it is set for a side by side battery set up with the battery bars. cuz then, u take the 3rd wire from the esc, and hook it to the negative part of the motor (i dont know which one that is either) and then take another supplied wire (not attatched to the ESC) and solder one end to the i think negative battery bar, and then to the positive tab of the motor. but, i have shotgun style batteries, and tamiya connectors. so this is a no go for me. can i cut into either my positive, or negative battery wire (depending on which on i need to) and then solder the last wire to there, and then to the motor? this will be a bisnotch, but will it work? what do i do to use my shotgun batteries, and tamiya plugs? im going to take the tamiya plug from my fusion esc and put it on the dually if i can.
please help me if u have good experience with the dually. and rcca guys PLEASE give me yur insight too. u guys kickass.

First, you'll need to get a Tamiya connector kit from your hobby shop (if you've been thinking about upgrading to Deans or PowerPole plugs, now is a good time to do so).
Attach the ESC's black wire to the NEGATIVE side of the connector.
Attach the ESC's red wire to the POSITIVE side of the connector.
Solder a jumper wire from the ESC's red wire to the POSITIVE side of the motor's endbell.
Attach the blue wire to the NEGATIVE side of the motor's endbell.
The positive side of the endbell has a "+" (plus sign) molded into it. If you've got a sealed-endbell motor with no identifying "+" or "-" marks, and there are no colored wires attached to give you a clue, just hook up the Dually and see what happens. If your motor runs backwards, just reverse the wires on the motor.

are the wires on the novak fusion 14 guage like the wires on the dually? i think the dually has 14 guage. cuz my cat chewed about a half inch on both sides of the extra wire. so can i just cut off a wire on my fusion, and then use that to solder to the battery wire and then to the motor? my fusion doesnt work anyway (water damage) and ill be taking the tamiya plugs off of that. i can always send it in to novak and they will fix it for $25 plus parts right?

i would switch to deans connectors, but i still owe my mom $200 form things i just bought, and stuff ive bought like 2 months ago. lol.
i forgot to ask another question...
does it matter where i solder the extra wire on the battery wire? close to the battery, or close to the esc? i would do it as close the the esc as i could because i put the esc on teh left side of my rustler, and then its a straight shot between the shock tower and the shock to the motor.
