I ordered a Baja 5B from them on June 25, my credit card was charged on June 27, and said they would ship it with in 5 days. Well, that time went by, and no Baja.

Many of my e-mails went un-answered, but the ones they did answer said, sorry for the delays, we will ship your baja right away. I got about 4-5 e-mails like this.

When they would answer they phone, I got they same responce. They even told me "I swear, we shipped your Baja". They even sent me a UPS tracking number. UPS told me they just got a tracking number for billing purposes only, and no package was to be picked up until further notice.

They charged me for a product they did not have, and fed me a line of ********.

On August 9, Stormer Hobbies sent me an e-mail saying the had 1 Baja in stock. I called them and ordered it. 5 days later, I have it. On the same day I ordered it through Stormer, I cancelled my order with New World Hobbies. They still have not refunded my money.

I will never order from them again, and I will be posting this on every r/c forum I frequent, and contact the proper authorities too.

that bites, bigtime. Its a shame they conduct business in that manner. At least you got your baja now tho...but yikes, somebody better re-imburse you!!!!

I canclled an order from them for the same reason. However they say they "can't" refund my money because it was a pre-order not the real deal. Now what kind of bull is that?! Please, no one do business with these people. Even if they have good prices.

that sucks. Same here in Canada. Some guys bought R/C stuff from them but never got their items.

Sounds like an extremely shady business. One that should be shut down for their online activity, for SURE!

I say, hassle the hell out of them, call, call, and call again. It's not harassment when you're trying to get back what is rightfully yours :p

They don't pick up, they don't answer E-mails, they don't do anything.

We (my mom and I) are going to contact the authorities about them, and we'll see if we can get our money back.

So far just the BBB. But I have put this on alot of r/c forums. Banned R/C has a mod who did, or still does work with Rob. I'm assuming Rob is the owner of NWH. Any way, he said he talked to Rob, and he is going to take care of me. But as of right now, still nothing.

Yes, the FBI is the way to go! And I wouldn't waist any time.

The BBB is a joke!.... its made up of the local business men. And if the business isn't a member, the complaint goes right in the oval file. (not that they would do anything anyway).

If you paid by credit card you may be able to charge back what you paid. Check with your credit card company. I would go after them full tilt FBI, Better Business Bureau, online fraud complaint and in the future stay away from online newbies in the rc business.

i think the lesson here is if the deal seems too good to be true, it probally is, support your LOCAL hobby shops, at least then you dont have to drive as far to confront them,

I was considering ordering a buggy from these people. I'm glad I stumbled across this thread.I guess its easy to have low prices if you never ship the goods:(

Always pay by credit card. Then if this happens you can call your credit card company and dispute the charges. They usually have some rules for this but if you do not do it weekly they will just give you instructions. If you receive the product after you have done this call the cc company and ask them what to do. Usually they have you return it. I always send the company an email letting them know I am disputing. Usually at most you loose $50. Some you loose none.

My cc company gave me a full refund, with the intrest I paid on the charge. The BBB said that they have quite a few coplaints on the too.
