ok, i just got one, and i believe they are fairly simple to operate(at least) :), but i have no clue as to how to!

1. facing the control screen the wires coming out from the left side of the machine are for you batteries?

2. the "little" wires coming out from the right of the macine are for the power supply?

3. the thicker wires coming out of the right of the machine are to run a dyno, lathe, etc?

4. can i run it with an n-power?

Facing the front screen, the lh wires are for the 12 volt power in. The same size wires on the rh side are for connecting to the batteries or motors. The small wires on the rh side are for connecting to packs when matching for more accurite readings. You can run it off of any 12 volt power supply as long as you don't use more amperage when charging packs then your power supply is rated for. R.W.

can you go a little more in detail with these......:

The small wires on the rh side are for connecting to packs when matching for more accurite readings.

"You can run it off of any 12 volt power supply as long as you don't use more amperage when charging packs then your power supply is rated for. R.W."

THE Novak N-Power is 14 Volt/10 Amps,
is it ok to run? :)

the small wires are voltage sensing leads and do not carry current. you use the bigger wires on the same side as the small ones for charging. you can clip the small ones on for more accurate readings. 10 amps is enough for charging batteries but if you use the motor run feature, you may need a bigger power supply. when i break in motors or run a dyno, the ampere draw shoots up to 15 amperes or more.

another thing, i was wondering if it is OK to charge NI-MH batteries on this?
i know that it came out before their release, and the manual states to only charge ni-cd
