RRP Pinions

I have a set of RRP's hard anodized pinions and the black anodizing is worn off. At first they were really quiet but now they are extremely loud, I bought a losi pinoin and it is quiet again? Does anyone else have this problem? And yes the gear mesh was correct.

Gears DO wear out eventually. That's a high-friction part and no matter what you do, it WILL wear out sometime. Buying a new one is the right move.

also, i was running the hard anodized alum ones, and the black came off too, however it was mostly from crap on the spur gear.

but gears do wear out, and if you see either the spur gear or the pinion gear wearing out, then trash it. because you can mess otherstuff up.

a $4 pinion or spur is much cheaper then a motor.

I don't see how a noisy pinion can ruin a motor?
