I know it's a yokomo buggy. Roughly 10 years old, give or take. Dual belt drive with some strange diffs, also with steel cvd's. The chassis is some very stiff composite, i don't think it's graphite though.

I was pillaging around and found this (http://www.audi-20v.co.uk/RCCars/Dogfighter.htm) . It looks exactly as my car does. Same body and everything. So it's possibly a dogfighter......or some crappy worthless piece of plastic

It's the YZ10, version that was imported by Associated.
There were two previous versions imported by RPS (ranch pit stop later to become Losi) the first was the RPS Yokomo SE (japanese version was the Dogfighter SE) and later the C4 japanese version was the Super Dog fighter.
The YZ10 used magnesium bulkheads which develops a crusty layer over time whereas aluminum just dulls. Most racers that raced the YZ10 (myself includeded) installed a graphite stiffener (went from front bulkhead to rear)and replaced the magnesium parts with aluminum).
The US versions of the Yokomo 4wd have always differed and had a diffferent designation that the Japanese versions had. The YR4 (US) may have had the Dogfighter 98 designation in Japan.

Cool, thanks for the info Highroller.

Now I'm at the debate of selling it, shelf it, or just run it. I found a few places that actually carry parts for it. It's a really col car IMO, so I dunno if I want to possibly render it useless buy breaking a part that is no longer availible.

I haven't seen any site except maybe Ebay where part are available for the YZ10 in many years. Stadium truck and Nitro seems to the favorite classes locally for offroad, I still have one YZ10 (got what parts the LHS had, belts, sprockets, suspension arms). Sold the other YZ10 and YR4 plus a bunch of other vehicles and stuff I wasn't using any longer.

This is really wild. Many years ago I had 2 cars and radios stolen out of my firebird. One was a yokomo that looked just exactly like that. and a schumacher cat. I still have some of the spares for it. Never did find out who took them but I quit racing for some time after that. They didn't have a futaba radio with it by the way? May i ask where you came up with this car. It sure would be nice to back trace its history.
