If I use a modified 15 turn rc car motor with a jeti navy esc , which is foward only do i need to install a SCHOTTKY DIODE? I have a 15turn motor i want to use but before i go and blow it up id figure id ask some of the pros.

use the diode. as far as i know, you will always need one on a forward only esc.

use the diode.
The diode helps protect the ESC.
It also makes the whole system run cooler. (both motor & ESC too)

Be sure the grey stripe is facing the positive terminal when you install the diode
