Touring Car Help

What is the difference...
When should I use...
1.) Front Differential
2.) Front Spool
3.) Front One-Way

I am going to start out on carpet with a touring car, but may end up running on ashphalt later as well with the car.

Any help/information would be greatly appreciated.
