a'hem

there are a lot of you racers on here who seem to enjoy answering my unendingly confusing questions, so i present you with a new one, http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

This time its not a PROBLEM THO! YAY!

Ok, my friend has a stampede, using rustler tires, (my sisters, his were'nt good for the track, so i let him borrow them) and an X-Star Motor, a 1700mah Pack and a Dynamite Powerpulse, he has that thing geared 21 pinion to 78 spur, and it HAULS, I can still beat him easily wiht the T3 (thanks mostly to handling) but he gives me a run for the money in the straights. He's a very good driver tho. It isn't a challenge to The T3 or my sister's Rustler, but it'll take my old Stampeded apart. Not a problem, just a question to keep you guys busy, care to explain, HOW CAN THIS BE!?!

http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif thanks, and have fun

He can go so fast on the straightaway because he is geared so HIGH. He surely doesn't have as much punch as you, but when it finally gets up to top speed, it flies because of the big pinion/small spur combo.

thats what i figured as well, But, shouldn't that be causing lower run times? it isn't

speaking of gearing questions, this one doesn't have to do with stadium trucks but what would be a good pinion size for my tamiya mini cooper with a 12 turn in it with 2000 packs?
