Constructing a car

I am trying to build a simple car, but i need help. What im mostly having difficulty with is the electronic part of it. Once I have the base of my car, how do I get it to actually work? I would appreciate any help anyone could give me. Thanks.

You will need a speed control. There are two types, mehanical, and electronic. A mechainical speed control has 3 forward speeds, and 1 reverse speed. an electronic speed control has thousands of speeds. Then all you need is a motor, and a radio.
