I did a search but didn't get any results.
Has anyone purchased from Boom Boom Batteries?

I'm specifically looking at the 4200mah "bash pack" for $38. There's a review of the Boom Boom 3800 on the Beat You Truck web site.

Is this even a good price? It looked good to me for a 4200 stick pack, which there don't seem to be many of available on the market.

I've bought batteries from boom boom. I had great experience with them.My order was shipped within a timely matter, and i'll be getting some packs from them shortly.Seems like a good deal to me, I usually purchase the other pack cofiguration, but for bashing, it seems like a good deal to me.

It's a good price. The one thing you need to look out for with the stick packs though, is that when they are soldered together, they use little metal sheets instead of bars inbetween the batts to make the connection. So if they are that cheap in price, this is one thing to watch for. The problem with that is it will cause some resistance. You get the best batteries that are soldered side by side. Try Maxamps, they are good too. That is where i get all my batteries, you can't beat the customer service and quality! Talk to Austin, he is a great guy!

Considering batteries keep it all powered, it's not always the best to go the cheapest! IMO

Usually if the packs are made with good cells then the actual brand you choose whether it be some off the wall company or else usually doesnt matter. Sure they might buy the leftover stock of batteries from the battery manufacturer after they sorted through them and got all the good ones for matched packs but you still get good quality cells if theyre from IB or GP or other good known brand. The only problem is they wont be close to each other in numbers and for sure wont be the best of the batch either but they should still last a long time and be great basher packs or practice packs.

Very true. I agree. If you want you could go to Radio shack too for the gp3300's.

Alot of small batteries companies have been increasing recently.
Stick packs are still the best solution for people who want batteries packs without the expense or hassle of building their own packs. Even some who race will not spend big bucks on batteries and others want the high number cells even though they don't need them.

If you want good bang for the buck. Radio Shack dude, 25.00 for 6 cell gp3300's. And they put out some good punch as well.
