I took my 2 buggies with me when I went on vacation.

Has anybody else done something like this?

My wife was not that happy but I had just bought the Mayhem and the place we went to had tons of trails for bashing.

YES!! whenever I go on a road trip with my family (mom and dad) I try my best to lug the t-maxx with me. usually the trips are several hundred miles away.

one trip i literally toured hobby shops, i probably hit at least 8-10 different ones in a trip to see what other RC's were like (no local shops then) and buy parts. then i found an AWSOME track in Bakersfield and had my first race there.

I LOVE bringing it along with me but the pain-in-the-rear t-maxx hasnt made me to happy. it always seems to have trouble and the trx2.5 is hard to tune. i get so sick of it.

but yes... i take mine... easy way to make new aquantances as well... ;)

When I flew out to my dad's over spring brake I took all of my r/c stuff. It was from Asheville NC to Denver CO (not sure how far that is in terms of miles or anything). There is a really nice track out where he lives it's called MHOR raceway. I'm debating on wheather to take it out there next time though because it was really a hassle and they lost my stuff last time on the way back but I got it back.

well lets see.

when i lived in michigan i traveled all over michigan and ohio racing on road nitros. then when i moved to ohio i started racing off road nitros and traveled all over ohio. and when i first got my Jammin X1 CRT, i took it on vacation to virginia beach so i could break it in. MAN nitros sound cool 15 stories up ontop of a parking garage :) and when ever i travel, i ALWAYS bring a micro just incase i find a unique place to run them.

HPI...what does being 15 stories up have to do with how nitros sound?

perhaps there were echos coming from the surrounding walls on the building?

lol ive been all over the US with my buggies. Ive never raced out of my area though, i flew to cali to do a Jimmy Babcock race (after he confronted me aobut it while he was in town) and during practice friday i had a really bad stomach pain. So i put my stuff away, went back to the hotel and got so sick that i ended up having to go to the hospital....went to the track a year later and had a blast..

I've taken one of my cars to many south pacific islands, as far south as the Island of Raratonga (east of australia)! and another as far north as Littel Diomede Island (the one that is thought to be part of the land bridge people walked from europe to alaska in pre-historic times)! All in the name of work... the trips were, bringing the RC's was all in the name of fun!

My trucker buddy has lugged his revo over 800,000 miles, bashed it in 37 states and counting, he is going to do a special paint job of the us map and where he bashed (LHS or truckstop names) once he gets the other 11 in the lower 48.
