Motor Noise?

I just got a new XX-4 (and XXXT, never been into RC before - so I'm a newbie) and the motor (D4 9T Triple) is 'whining' pretty loudly whenever I give it the throttle. It's not the 'typical' motor whine, as my XXXT doesn't do it - it sounds more like a PC beep - pretty loud....sorry I can't do a better job with description.

Anyone have any idea what this sound is? Is it typical for this motor / car??

That was my same problem. First make sure that the speedo is set for modified. Then make sure the battery ends dont touch the chassis and put electric tape on chassis sides. Then put a second power capacitor on the speedo if its a cyclone (thats what i had to do.) And if you have a good novak or LRP receiver FM it will help alot. Its radio noise that makes the motor glitchy and loud. Hope this helps.
