What are good tires for street/parking lot bashing with an XXX-T? Being a basher, tire life is a major issue, especially since tires are so expensive. I'm currently using some Pro-Line Dirt Hawgs which work pretty well in a dual purpose role (dirt and pavement)

I've looked at the 2.2" street tires on the pro-line site but they all use the same compound so I'd assume that they are all pretty much the same.

Lastly, I like the look of the new Anaconda tires on the Jato. I assume that they are a hard compound since the Jato goes so darn fast. What parts would I need to get the Jato wheels/tires to fit onto my XXX-T? Is this even a good idea since the Jato is a 1/8 scale (i think). Bigger, heavier tires might just slow me down.

The Jato is 1/10 scale, just uses a larger inner diamater wheel. much like up-sizing, from a 2.2. to a 2.8, but tire is same hieght, like putting 18's on car with 15's, tire is no taller, just less sidewall

Go for the proline Road Rages

I have the pro-line road rages. They aren't bad, but the traction could be better. I overall like the tires though. They don't really wear either (not that I've seen over the past years). Soak them in wd-40 and you'll have plenty of traction, if you'd like of course.

You don't even need to soak them. You can just spray them down real quick, rub it in, and wipe off the excess, then let them dry.:D

I'd go with Proline Road Rage Tires on any rims that you like. The Jato doesn't go fast solely because of its tires. The original Jato had off-road tires and it was still a bullet. Road Tires with give better traction, like wear on road surfaces, and a slightly faster top-end. Don't expect your car to be going 60 because it has Jato tires on it.

Trust me. I don't believe that my car will be fast just because the Jato is fast (although tires are a part of speed depending on how heavy they are). My theory is that since the Jato is so darn fast that it must be equipped with tires that work well at high speeds without getting torn up.

That's still beside my point. The Jato tires for the original Jato weren't super strong tires or anything; they were cheapy tires that were easy to make. Buying tires that are on a fast car like the Jato won't ensure that they will last long. I would just pick up some Road Rage tires, but you can do whatever makes you happy.
