Yeah, your probably right. RPM doesn't list red ballcups on their site, so they probably specially make them for factory drivers.

You could buy white (or light-colored) ones and dye them Red very easily.

Go to a craft store and pick up a box of RIT (brand name) red colored dye (it's in powder form and probably won't cost you more than $3). Get an old pot that you don't use anymore and fill it halfway with water (ball cups are small, so you don't need a whole lot of water). Then add three teaspoons of dye to the pot. Put the pot on the stove (on high) and wait for it to boil. After it boils, back off to medium.

Add the white ball cups. They may float so you'll have to figure out a way to keep the, submerged (here's my idea: put the ball cups in a mesh bad and use a plastic spoon to keep the bag under water). Be sure to do all the ball cups at the same time, otherwise they may vary in shade. After one minute, remove the bag and check the ball cups. If you are satisfied with the color, dunk them in a pot of clear water and set them out to dry. If they are too light, put them back into the pot.
