Anybody have any good spring/brush combos or tuning tips for either of these motors. I have heard cut the brushes but i dont have anyway to do that. Im getting a comm lathe next week, yea.

I found that the best setup for the Spitfire/Chrome stock motors was with the stock springs and Reedy 767 brushes.
For the MVP, go with one softer spring on the negative and the stock on positive. I'm sticking with Reedy 766 brushes for the MVP.

I agree, the stock springs with Reedy 767 brushes, they are the BOMB.
My personal preference though, is the Spitfire is by far, a better Truck motor.
Brian, it is late, go to sleep!
