If any one would like to see how fast your ride is .. head down to Rockingham Dragway this saturday Aug 12th......

We are holding a R/C Drag event complete with timing system for accurate 132ft times...

We are having 3 main classes...

Extreme... run what you brung.. but you better be able to get to 132ft in less than 1.6 sec @ over 90mph...

Pro Mod/ Funny car...... a real specific class here purpuse built cars using nitro and elctric power.. nitros run the .21's and the electrics use 10 cells and coblat/NEO mag motors... for more info on this class go to the www.rcrods.com or the www.imdra.com sites...

bracket.. well run what you brung again.. just be consistant time after time.... we have several running this class with touring cars , off-road cars and monster trucks...... speed is what you want to do.... some are 2 sec runs some are 4 sec runs.... uses a staggered start just liek the big drag cars....

Gates open at 10am.... racing starts at 1pm... done by 4pm ..$15 to race... nothing to watch...... we are racing on the main strip used by the IHRA Pro cars during the two nationals held at Rockingham each year....

so come on out and see "HOW FAST YOU THINK YOU ARE".. or just come check things out......

IF anyone is interested in coming out i forgot to add tthe Dragway is in Rockingham, NC right across the street from the old Cup track... go in at the back gate and we are set up on the main dragway..... you will not be able to seeus from the road... or once you turn in.. just head for the strip once on the grounds and we should be easy to find....

Guys this event is still a go for tomorrow.... we are expecting rain in the morning and late in the evening .. so we should be able t oget the race in..... expecting 30 races from NC and SC for the racing action...couple are even thinking about trying out the strip for the FASTEST R/C Challenge.....

Race day is coming... track opens at 10am for practice.. and quailifing is at 1pm.... racing t o follow time depends onhow many car show.... we got a group from Atlanta coming up and couple from Virginia and Tennessee head down also.. looks like a good crowd and plenty of fast cars.... lookingto see the 90mph zone tapped quite a bit this weekend....
