wow! I was looking through some losi stuff and I saw this car!
http://www.teamlosi.com/kits/rallyweapon.htm

I have a RS4 Rally and I like the way this car looks! I love the shocks! what do you guys think?

I have enough money to get a rally car and a LRP V7.1 a Lynx 3D radio and a Peak Performance Aurora 10t triple! I have 3000 nimh batteries to handle the 10t! I just have to choose a rally car! Either another RS4 Rally or this Team Losi Rally Weapon.

please give me your input!

Hear goes, I don't like the car since you need to build those saddle packs...you know the 3 on one side, 3 on the other. Thats why i didn't buy it.

I have a Rally Weapon, Speed Gems 12x2, RPM wheel adapters, Proline Rally Boss tires, etc...
It's good car but, you will not be happy with it out of the box. For mod motors it needs a slipper clutch, the parts for a xx4 slipper set up must be purchased as individual items, about 45 dollars.
Losi does not offer different rate shock springs of the correct lenght, you must cut down truck springs.
The steering bushings bind, I was never happy with the fit, Get the steering bearing set before you build the car.
The left front wheel keeps the motor full of dirt, you can run a xx4 body as a inner dirt shield under the car body or make a inner fender out of lexan.
I think there are still some pics posted on the gallery page at rcrally.com , it's the Toyota Celica with the Castrol colors. Got the idea from GT2, it's one of the cars you win from one of the endurance races.

Sorry to dredge this topic back up, but I'm deciding between a Losi Rally Weapon and HPI RS4 rally at the moment, and I figured out how much it costs to add a slipper to the Weapon using parts from the XX4:

$1.25 A6302 5-40 Steel locknuts
$2.50 A3242 Slipper Belleville Spring Washer Set
$2.50 A2127 Rear Hub Spacer, .060" <-- may not need this?
$5.50 A3217 Bearing inserts and o-rings
$2.50 A3125 1/4 x 9/16 inch thrust bearing assembly
$4.00 A3223 Slipper back plate - rear
$3.00 A3224 Slipper pad - rear
$3.50 A3932 78-tooth spur gear
$3.00 A3123 Slipper pad - front
$8.50 A3222 Slipper back plate - front
$7.00 A3221 Slipper shaft assembly with hardware
-------
$43.25

So Chance's estimate of $45 was pretty good! Considering a Weapon will cost me about $70, I don't think I want to spend more than half the cars value on a slipper clutch conversion. On the other hand, I'm having a hard time finding a RS4 Rally under $100 (+$22 for a slipper clutch), so....
Maybe I'll just buy a half-dozen replacement spur gears instead!

Well, there isn't an aftermarket slipper clutch kit available for the Weapon as far as I can tell, so that may be the only way to do it! (Correct me if I'm wrong, I'd love to find an aftermarket slipper for much less $)

For an inner body, check out the "Street Weapon Dust Cover" on Horizon Hobbies' site. It's molded for the chassis, you just have to trim the bottom to fit. ( < $8)

I'm using the stock "Clicker" as a sort of slipper clutch for the front wheels, and I'm not having any trouble shredding spurs. Of course, if you're flying over doubles and catching 5 feet of air, perhaps you need a true slipper.

I like my Rally Weapon quite a bit. And it's quick and stable.

Where do they sell them for $70?

go with the rs4 rally. Not only do you get the under body mine has broken nothing but a ball joint and that was totally my fault. My car has never stripped a gear except the first time i drove it and that was wrong mesh and another new-b flaw. I say go with the rs4 it is great.

Specs :
messing around,
motor 10*2 (gets wheelies and wheel spin if wanted, buddies rally weapon has 7*1 and it can't even get the front end up)
esc lrp quantom pro
tires stock rally with foam inserts (inserts help a lot)
batteries mismatched packs between 1500-3000

racing:
motor paradox stock
tires f= :D hpi soft rally
r= hpi medium rally
esc same as above

I've only broken one piece; an inexpensive hub carrier. Still have original belts and gears. And when my driving is up to snuff, I beat the HPI cars handily.

This is so tempting. In actuality i have to many rc's but i was thinking to let my friends drive this one. Do you think this kind of deal last long?

How did everyone pay for those? The bearing are only in the trans right?

I bought mine from him - he's a reputable eBay seller.

The car has full bearings except the four for the steering bellcranks.

If you want to see pics of mine, visit my gallery at http://photos.yahoo.com/sixandeightstringer - the pics are in the "My Rides" folder, and there are pics of it in action in a subfolder there too.
