The debate is, either get a factory team tc3 (or possibly team) tc3 and leave it at that, or buy a racer and totally trick it out using tons of IRS's and Hardcore's parts? such as there light drivetrain parts, chassis parts etc?

Nah, that aftermarket stuff won't give you any noticeable edge(though it'll look very cool) over a FT TC3, & it'll just cost you an arm & a leg. The only things the FT doesn't have that'd I'd add are one-ways, both the front one(sold by Associated) & the shaft one-way from GPM. When combined on a good surface, they really free up the drivetrain(you could almost move it by blowing on it), & the FT is by far the most economical way to go for all the goodies.... :)

youll save more by getting the factory team. i got my tc3 team kit almost 2 years ago and had i known that there would be a factory team, i should have waited. instead, i spent more money on hopups. but if you prefer aftermarket brands, i guess itll be worth your money to get a tc3 racer, and youll have plenty of spares of the parts youll replace with hopups.

I think you should totally trick one out and make it an ultimate TC3, like RCCA's one

With my Racer, I found that ive ended up buying a lot of the stuff anyway. Like if I break something, I replace it with Graphite. But I wish id just got the FT cause its way cheaper than buying al the parts

alright, its settled, either a team or a racer, for starters im adding the one-ways, some aluminum input shafts, and a lighter shaft. The next upgrades will probaly be a battery strap (the heat sink one) or some cool anodized shock towers. Heres how i see it: Even with the factory team i would get most of the parts im getting now, so i might as well save some money, rather than paying for all that graphite and replacing it with irs or hardcore eventually. The main goal is to make the drivetrain so light, you blow (hard) it moves. I will be racing on carpet and draging on un-treated asphalt, wish me luck!

Don't bother getting the one-ways for the TC3 unless you run on a very smooth, high traction surface. Unless you plan to race the car exclusively, the one ways won't be much af an asset, since braking will become much more difficult.
If you buy the FT, you won't need to buy the "heat sink" battery strap, as it already comes with it. Also, you mentioned buying a light weight drive shaft. Don't waste your money, the stock one is made of woven carbon fiber, and is very strong. I don't know that there is a lighter one on the market, but if there is, it's probably not as strong.
The Factory Team TC3 needs nothing to be competetive out of the box. I've had two in the past two years, both were bone stock, and remained that way through two seasons of racing. Jeepinator bought my newest one, which he's posted pictures of in the "Electic Forum".

wait, so what your saying is the one-ways wont help? My racing will be on carpet, and once and a while some of the guys drag in the parking lot. Ill shoot for a team tc3, but the one-way was the thing that really caught my eye, but now your saying its not worth it?

Read my post again. Unless you race on a smooth, high traction surface (which carpet is), the one-way wont really help you.
If you race on carpet, get a one-way. If you're just screwing around in a parking lot, it's not worth wasting your money.
Just remember, the one-way only allows the rear tires to brake, so anything less than a high traction surface WILL cause the car to loop when you try to stop quickly.
I've used both the front diff one-way, and the rear, shaft mounted one-way. The shaft mounted one is more subtle, and much easier to install. The front diff one-way is more like a switch, and tends to make the car a little twitchier. You don't need both, but if you feel the need, the only thing you'll hurt is your lap times and your wallet.

Oh, and unless the Associated made a running change, the one-way isn't included in the Factory Team kit. Some guy bought the kit from our local hobby shop recently, tried to return it because he'd assumed the one-way was included, since everyone told him the car had all the factory options.

Alright, thanks Serious Black, Im going for the factory Team, and ill add the one-way by GPM, (i believe that ISNT the front one). The only other after market accessery im going to get is the lighter input shafts. Thanks again.
