I have heard of people buying unassembled batteries from battery suppliers online at dirt cheap prices. Has anyone done this? where? the cell numbers are them same as the ones in trinity packs. Are they the same?

I've never done it myself, but no... The numbers on the cells will not be the same as from Trinity. The cells themselves are the same, all come from the same manufacturer (ie. Sanyo), but the numbers are different. Trinity take a huge number of cells and gets the numbers on them. Then takes the cells with similar numbers and matches them up. The cells that you buy personally are great for practice packs. Much cheaper then buying non-matched packs from Trinity, but you'll never get matched cells or anything buying by yourself. You'd have to go through hundreds to thousands of cells to get even one or two packs of matched cells. That's why Trinity can charge so much for their cells, it takes a lot to match a pack. Hope some of this information helps.
