I have some trinity and dynamite 1500 sport packs and I would like to know what is the lowest turn I could run in my t3 and have the batteries last at least 5 minutes (BTW I have an explorer esc)And gearing for it would help too, thanx in advance

i think the explorer has a 15 turn limit. im not familiar with t3 gearing but if you want more than 5 minutes of runtime, get a competition stock motor or high turn modifieds. you can also charge at a lower rate for your 1500s to gain a bit of run time.

I have a p2k but its screwing up that why I wanted to know before I buy a new motor, and I have a pro max $20 charger so charging at different rate is not an option. You know a good cheap in price peak charger that will charge 2400's(at least) that would help me thanx

I think the intellipeak is like $54 from tower. You can adjust the rate on that one but if you are going to charge nimh you can only charge 3.5 instead of the 6.5 you can with the nicd, unless you want to go $20 more then you can charge both at 6.5 amps or less.

17t isnt that much diff than stock, just drop it in, should be fine with stock gearing

the intellipeak is a good charger but i like the Dynamite Vision Peak. obviously, it is a peak charger and it shows where your battery is at while charging.... this is a great charger and i use it when i race my TC3.

if youre gonna get the 15turn, gear it conservatively. even if the explorer's limit is 15turns, you might still overheat it if your pinion gear is too big or your spur gear is too small. ask around from other t3 owners what their gearing is and work from there to determine your optimal gear ratio.

get 3000s for more runtime, but make sure your charger is nimh compatible. you can reuse 3000s several times a day. let them cool down before charging again. what kind of 15 turn are you getting? i also plan to get a 15 or 17 turn modified and im looking at trinity speedgems or orion pilots.

I was asking you that but I'm leaning towards a trinity speed gems 2 15t or possibly a trinity monsters of touring 15t. I'll probably get an intellapeak deluxe charger, its ni-mh compatible I believe.the trinity extra 3000mah ni-mh pack looks good and in my price range. Are these good choices. Can you recommend aftermarket springs, and brushes for more power also. THANKS!!
