I've always wondered what people were talking about when they say not to run on a road with pebbles and what not. Guess i learned today. Now i'm out a front belt and possibly diff. My pinion gear also ejected from the car when it happened. :o

That's what happened to my brother's HPI pro in a recent parking lot race. Belts suck outside, but rock on the carpet :D

Yup! I got so frustrated with my HPI Sprint that I shelved it. Nowhere to run w/o pebbles, so every time I changed belts, I'd shred one again.Aaargh!

My friend made a belt/diff cover out of some lexan, it keeps rocks and any debris out of the diff area, and it holds pretty well. He had the same problem at one point too.

I'll try to get some pics up

Have you guys tried an inner type body like the HPI RS4 Rally (http://photo.head-fi.org/showphoto.php?photo=10639) usually have (that is a shot of the bottom half; the top half is the one with the two helmeted heads on it)? Maybe that would fit and help some (along with the lexan diff cover thingy that Neon Dave mentioned).

My friend is vacationing in Europe at the moment, he should be back by my birthday, August 8th :) When he comes over I'll ask him to bring his car and I'll snap some pics of the cover.
