I'm new to electric car and was wondering, is the TC3 Racer good, if not what is a good electric car that is under $300.00 TOTAL with everything needed to run it (i.e. motor, battery pack, charger, radio, reciever, etc.)?

Thanks,
Oni Freak :D

I did some research at tower hobbies... here's what you can get for under $300

Subaru Impreza WRC (TL01) $79.99
Duratrax Bearngs (TL01) $34.99
Trinity Speedgem2 Jade 15t motor $25.99
Novak ESC Explorer II $49.99
Duratrax Piranha Peak Charger $34.99
Airtronics Blazer Blue Radio AM/1 servo $39.99
Duratrax Piranha Pack 1500mah batteries: get 2 packs for twice the fun ($14.99 each)

Total cost: $301.99 (free shipping & handling) (plus $15 off for orders over $150)

Ok so i am over $1.99... i guess you can forget about that $1.99 Daily Double Combo meal for now at McDonald's lol :D

are you gonna bash.. or race?

if yer gonna bash.. a Tamiya kit would be a great choice.. pick up a rally style.. (gives you more options of running on dirt or street)

if you wanna race.. go with the TC3.. its a proven winner

A good choice for a tc would be a HPI RS4 Sport 2. You can get everything you need for a little over 300. I think the RS4 Sport would be a good choice because it can also be raced.

HPI RS4 Sport 2 w/ Porsche 911 body $159.99
Tower Hobbies Speed Stocker 27T motor $13.99
Futaba 2PC 2ch AM/1 S3003 servo $42.99
Duratrax Piranha Charger/battery Gift Pack $49.99
Duratrax ESC-100 Forward/Reverse esc by Futaba $36.99

All together, the price is $303.95. If you can spare the extra $3.95, I reccomend this vehicle.

I would try a Tamiya Expert Built. If you go to www.tamiya.com (http://www.tamiya.com) there is a list for all the motors and other hop-ups you can use. The hightest 1 is is about 199.99(i think). All you need is a battery and charger. Or you could get a TL-01 chassis and all the electronics for 'bout 300.00.(I think) Try Tower Hobbies
