Hi, I've got an old kit and its been hanging around for awhile.
Its an original clod from 87 (nib) it was opened before I got it but all the parts are in the bags, blister pack is intact ect.
In fact there are a couple of brochures in there from MRC/TAMIYA, one that outlines (Tamiyas NEW hobby of R/C racing) and one of "paint chips?"
Anyway, I dont have the room or time to build another kit right now.
So what do you think, BUILD, SELL, KEEP?
I kind of would like to see it in the hands of some one who has allways wanted one. BUT, I like it myself.
Thanks for your time in reading this,

If you read my thread dedicated to my brother, you will see my nephew has handed the heirloom over to me out of an act of kindness. He has always expressed his desire for a clod, so i would like to get him one for doing what he did. IF you decide to sell, let me know.

Put the ENTIRE BOX in a freezer bag and hide it, don't open the bags, don't do anything but keep it safe. Someday you will have a good chunk of change there. :D

you dont understand, the one he has is an original clod from 1987 not a remake like the ones you can buy now. his is worth more than a new one because it is not opened and not made and about 20 years old

yeah, worth more right now than the new ones. If he doesnt want to sell it at some point tho, even on as a shelf queen, it would be fun to build. I REALLY wish i stil had my Mountaineer from back in the day, after seeing what those go for now.

Thanks for all the replys.
Yeah, The kit will be 20yrs. old next year.
I've been trying to find another one on ebay to see what there going for, but all i've found is one guy from UK has one still in the shrink wrap.
He wanted $500 shipped about a month ago, now hes down to $400.

He must be hurting for money or is impatient, if he had any sense he'd just sit on it and give it to his kid when he's too old to hold a remote. It will probably pay for his college education by then. :D
