ok i need some info, i have wanted this car for a looooooong time. I have heard that its loud though is that true? I have also heard it is very fragile, also that aren't worth the money, and you should just buy the team version, i have also heard though the team version has to be dialed out good to drive it, and the racer version does not. Well any help would be nice guys later, RC X

the T3C racer is great, people say the a arms are weak, i broke 1 front a-arm, to prevent this jus get a BRP wide bumper for the TC3 http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I have the racer kit and built a wide bumper like the MRP, eventhough I am probably the very worst driver at the local track I have yet to break something besides a body. After a month and a half I'm on my third body, that's got to say something for the durability!

First time I drove the TC3 was after driving F1's for months. I wasn't expecting it to respond the way it did and I drove right into the end of board. When I did that with a TL01 once, it was enough to snap the chassis (and that was with a stock 540). My TC3 with a 17x2 ended up mounting the boards but nothing was broken.. So I don't think it's fragile at all! http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

No its not loud. The only time i here a loud TC3 is when the pinion/spur mesh is wrong.

I raced PRO2 for 1.5 years and never broke a part.

My Tc3 as great as it is drives very nicely is fragile. I use the large from bumper and have broke 2 rear arms. I hit the boards on occation but i am hardly a hacker. The 2 times they broke were what appeared to be light taps. I could HAMMMER my PRO2 with no fear of breakage. Maybe this cars weakness will make me a better driver since i will let off more when the car is not handling right.

THE RACER is by far the best value. I has everything a "PRO" sedan should have and and more then some "PRO" kits include(ie a body). The plastic shocks i find a perfect and lighter. Also the composite CVD's do not bend. All my TC3TEAM owner friends switched to the composite ones because they do not bend.

My Tc3 racer has never broken anything, and it is way faster than my brothers RS4, the a arms are way more ridiged but I havent broken one. I run a p2k pro at 32000 rpms so it's quick.

YES but do you race? On a track with boards? 6 foot lanes?

it will never break in a parking lot

RCX2000,

Yes, the TC3 is noisier than a belt drive car, but and gear driven car will be.

As for fragile, it will depend on your driving style and the type of track that you run on. If the track is tight and has boards, you are going to break arms. There is no way around that unless you are an expert driver, but even they make mistakes and kiss a board or two. In terms of taking a solid shot to the front or rear, yes it is very strong, but a shot on the outside of the wheel, where the torque is high, the arm will give.

The TC3 is very capable as a racer version, so is the team kit. both are excellent out of the box. I don't think that they need to be tuned any more that any other TC, besides, the cars are almost identical, except for bearings and CVD's, nothing that would make a difference in tuning.

I have a TC3 and it blows all belt drive cars away. No it is not loud at all, it is quiet. I also have not broken anything on it. I think the TC3 is the best touring car out there. no belts!!!!!!!!!
