Here is a suggestion , buy your stuff from the local hobby shop , by the time you pay shipping for parts from mail order you can get it form your LHS . Plus most hobby shops can get stuff in a couple of days .

Okay Losi Man if you want to get losi parts Horizon Hobby has Great deals. When tower had these parts they were probably more expensive. Also try Hobbypeople.net they have good prices too.
Hobbypeople are discontinuing losi stuff to,but ultimate hobbies and pegasus hobbies are good choices.Hobbypeople is really no big loss, most of the time you go there in person they dont have what you want or they dont know what your talking about, i live about 7 miles from one and 20 miles from another and to be sure i get somthing from them i have to mail order it from them.
Yeah we get a little spoiled around here cause i can count about 6 hobby shops in a 25 mile radius.
I don't know where they use to be, but there in montclair now and they have a shop in whitter i beleave. they don't run a track now but that won't last long, they are preparing a old LA fitness center that was just across the parking lot for there new shop and tracks, sopposed to be indoor and out door, offroad and on, 1/10 and 1/8, it sound like its going to be a great place. Did you ever go to MnM in corona? unfortunatly they just closed there doors, for what reason i don't know, but its to bad that use to be a happinin place. there still alot of tracks around though, never have to drive to far to find a place to race.
Oh Mike, Peagasus hobbies was my LHS until my job brought me to NY. Hey do they still have that indoor off road track? I cant remember what city it was in but it wasnt around Montclair. I think San Bernadino, or Fontana or.........? It was in an industiral park. I relly do miss Pegasus though, now my LHS is 70 miles away and it stinks!!!

The losi product cancelling at Tower Hobbies must explain the 369 bucks for a xx-4 w.e. when its only 279 at Stormer Hobbies.
since they are clearing them out you would think you could get a good deal, things some times don't work out the way you would think.

See, what Tower is probably doing is trying to slow to a crawl all their Losi items by selling at high prices.
This way, Losi is forced to buy back all of Tower's inventory (since Losi switched ownership, and distributors) and will therefore hurt Losi's bank book by havign to buy back tens of thousands of dollars of old inventory.
In other words they're gonna make Losi eat it, for giving everybody the shaft on this selling out deal.
We did this to a distributor for the company I work for. Since they were taken over by a competing company they were required to buy back all of our inventory at full purchase price if we wanted. Which we did.
They were required to buy back 5000 units and that was just from us. In about a year they had to close the division because nobody wanted to buy products from their competeters.
Why help support your enemies, when you can help put them out of business.
I think Losi shot themselves in the foot by selling to Horizon. We'll have to see.
Losing Tower and Hobby People, and countless LHS cannot be good in such a small and competitive market.
