New to the group - nitro question

Hello im trying to break in / tune a traxxas nitro vee. its got a watercooled pro .15, unknown % omega fuel, a new glow plug, and is otherwise stock.

I got it to run pretty good out of the water, the idle is a little high but it stays running ok and cleans out eventually

If i put it on the water it is very slow, and runs around 300 degrees after 2-3 min. of running.

the water cooling system doesent seem to be working, its a goofy looking system that i dont particularly understand. it has a small amount of nitro residue in one of the cooler lines that never seemed to move for the 3 runs i made (1/2 tank of fuel total ran)

anyone have any good advice/sudgetions???

Sounds like you are running it too lean. Also, you might want to do some research on your fuel. You need to be sure it has at least 18% lubricant in it, otherwise your engine won't last long.
As far as your cooling system, check the lines to make sure they aren't clogged. You can blow through the lines and head backwards to be sure it's clear. It might be you aren't getting enough speed to feed water through the system.
