I have gotten the go on project "Carbon Fiber Carbo Eater." That is (for now) what I'm calling my project speed rustler with the custom made carbon fiber chassis. It's going to have a brand new Novak Dually ESC in it, and a brand new Trinity Speed Gems 2 Topaz 11 turn triple wind motor. Plus It has tons and tons of hop ups that you can see on my website-- http://bikerboy6986.homestead.com/tmaxx3.html
I have pics under the button "cool." The very last one in the rustler photobox is one of my designs for my top deck/brace. The center (where all the XX are) goes right over the battery. And the blue dots are where it will screw onto the top of the chassis. I still need to figure out how I can screw it on there. I need some sort of a raised thing that can be screwed into the chassis, and that can have a screw go into it. If you are familiar with the stock chassis, you know what I'm talking about.
I have a few questions though. How thick should I have the carbon fiber? The normal thickness is .075 correct? Should i go .08? This is going to be a speed truck, but occasionally I will take it off road, and go for som monster jumps.
I am also unsure of gearing. I am hoping to buy the 6 pack of robinson pinions, and I have all the spur gears for the rustler from Traxxas that I could find. I want to get speed out of this truck.
