Do NOT get AM. My friend has a Lynx FM, works really good only about 100 :)

Theres nothing wrong with AM. I've been running it for 2 years in nitro cars and I've had no problems with glitching. If you have the money get a budget FM like the Futaba 2PEKA. If not get an AM like the Futaba 2PC or 2PCKA.

Go with the Jr Xr2 i have it in my XXX ke and it has worked great for me. + it can keep up to two cars in memory so if you buy another car all you half to do is buy a server and you can use your Xr2

I've got a JR XR3 - FM; its got 3 model memory, etc. I can say that so far it has worked exceptionally. The only thing I can say that a Lynx, or one of the other higher dollar radios brings to the table is the ability to change frequency's without crystals, but my personal preference is crystal based radios so I like my JR..

I got a Hitec Lynx AM. I drove with a JR XR2, it was alright. I like the 2 model memory. It just didn't help me race any better because I just wasn't comfortable with the hand grips and wheel. As of now, I still use my Lynx in my TC3.

Am is fine elsewhere. I have the FM JR XR-3 and it's great for $160. The XR-2 is AM and a 3 model memory for $100.

i think i'm gonna get an FM, just cuz i'm a beginner and i won't be on the track soon or anything. alot of people are high on the JR XR2 and XR3, is the XR2 an AM radio only? if so, i guess i should get the XR3. i'd like to spend around $100, and TA03 suggests the futaba maganum FM, for around that. how much is the XR3?
