Hi, I have had my tc3 racer for about 3 months, and I have driven it mainly on a large car park. My problem is the stones which seem to get stuck in all sorts of places. also they sometimes hit my spur gear and it is now looking quite wounded. Would the nylon spur sort this out? if not, what is the best way to keep the stones out?

There is no 100% cure for spur damage :( . Prevention goes a long way though. After each run, take the body off, turn the car upside down and shake it out. also, you should be using a teflon lude on the spur gear. You can get this at almost any bicycle shop. Just put a few drops of the stuff on the gear after each battery and turn the wheels to get it worked in. You have probably already heard thins one but, use an air compressor to blow debris out of the car when you are done running for the day. Hope this helps ya' ;)

i also have this problem. i run in an unmaintained asphalt track and pebbles keep getting stuck. i just use the tip of a blade to remove bits that are stuck to the spur after every run. and when i hear that the gears become noisy, i pull off the track to prevent further damage.
tc3mike: what brand of lube do you use on the spur gear? wouldnt dirt stick to the lube? or would the lube just spin out of the spur when you run the car? i havent tried this yet.
