I know radio shack batteries litterally ****

I have a 2000 Nicad pack. I asked the dude at radioshack if I should only use the pack one or 2 times a day.he said it dosent matter I can use them multiple times a day. I have a radio shack hour charger and a radioshack 15 min charger. I put it on the 5 hour the charge lasts 10 mins if I put it on the 15 min charger it lasts like three that is after I already used it once that day. why does that happen?

the 15 miniute charger might be false peaking it. If u use the 15 min. charger hit the button againg after it says it's done until the pack feels a little warm.

10 min?! Dang I have the 2000 from them and the most I get is like 4 to 4 and a half min, even though I charge it for like 25 min. I use a Mega 3 charger from dynamite (dont buy it). I have had to re solder connections like 5 times.

Discharge your cells. Hook up your discharger and voltmeter, and cut em off at .85 volts. Charge them fully, (to about 9.9-10 volts) and you should have all sorts of run time. Be careful though, the RS 2000's are terrible and will vent gas if you push em too hard. That's why I say cut off the charge at about 9.9 volts.

9.9?! Dang! They alwasy level off at about 8.52, and I charge them for 15 min there after and they only go up to about 8.54. Thats the same with my Racers Edge pack, my panasonic 3000 will go into nine but thats it.
