which item are the male and female plugs supposed to go on like a speedo/battery

I'm getting deans 2 pin ultra plugs. What do the male and female plugs go on?

Female always go on the battery so that it cant short out when on your pit box or something, which leaves the male plugs on the ESC.

also if you are puting plugs on the motor and esc the male go on the motor. it makes it easyer to hook up to a batery to brake the brushes in.
