Hi,
Any electrical engineers out there? I just took a look at RCNeon's site, http://rcneon.com/led.htm and I am very curious on how this works. How are you able to solder this to "ANY" ESC? I know the Ram light kits require soldering to the motor. I have a KO Propo and Tekin Rebel ESC.
Any electrical engineers out there care to explain how this works and how the dimming of the tail lights work? Thanks!

well...as more current is fed to the motor, a small part of it from 0%-100% is fed into the lights...electrical engineer, eh? I want to be one...

Hey Isky,
I wish I was an electrical engineer, then I wouldn't be paying $50 bucks for little stinking LED lights!!! http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
Do you know how the control of power goes to the tail lights so that it dims when you hit the throttle, and it brightens when you brake or reverse? Resistors, capacitors...etc....all that good electrical engineering stuff!! http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
Oh yea, is it also true that the kits on www.rcneon.com (http://www.rcneon.com) can only be used with an ESC with brake light circuitry? If that is the case, I wouldn't be able to use it with my Tekin Rebel???

If you want to use the brake light dimming, I believe so. I have a kit, and I love it, but I use several different Impreza bodies on my car, so undoing the lights and redoing them into another body isn't very appealing, so I didn't bother hooking up my brake lights at all.
