I got a ? for all you RC geniuses. What is the best ESC for a touring car? I get my butt kicked every Sunday, is it my ESC (Explorer 2)? Does the frequency of the ESC make a big difference? What ESC do you use in your TC?
Thanks yall :p

the most popular ESC's would ahve to be Novak and LRP.... a good ESC would be a novak fusion, dually, atom, TC2, C2, and more. LRP has this new quantum series out and i'm not sure what they are but they are pretty much just as good as novak. a great LRP ESC is the LRP Phaser.

To tell the truth, I don't think frequency has all that much to do with winning races. It usually boils down to the driver's talent. Of course you want to have equipment somewhat close to what your competitors have, but take a great driver with lousy equipment and he will beat a lousy driver with top of the line stuff. The best way to start winning is to.....practice...practice...practice. Blaming equipment for lack of talent is a form of denial!!! Just get in some serious wheel time and just watch your lap times get shorter and shorter.

if youre running mod, get an esc with no motor limit. i think frequency affects they way the esc "feels." a higher frequency will make a car go smoother, therefore, you have more control of the throttle.

I have a novak atom and love it. I run stock racing so I dont need the no motor limit but it is nice to know that I can run an 8 turn D4 if I like no run time and going mach 1. It is realy also small and stays realy cool.

Chuck has it right. If you are running stock class, dont worry about it. Practice is everything. Good advice Chuck!

The phaser is a receiver not a esc.
