I have a Losi Mini LST and an RC18MT. Both have been modified with brushless motors(Tekin 6.8KV in the MLST and Mamba 8kv in the RC18) and they are both great trucks. However I think the RC18(T/B or MT version) is a better choice mainly because of ease of maintenance and durability. The Losi comes with plastic gears in all three diffs and with a LiPo battery will blow the center constantly(looks really cool doing it though, front wheels skyward and hauling a$$). IMO go with the RC18.

I have a Mini-T and I love it. Its a great car that has plenty of upgrades availible. You can get it for $150 or less (try Horizon Hobby (http://horizonhobby.com)). The Mini-T would be a great choice if you want a durable and low-price truck. You might be able to race it stock, but upgrading it will make racing easily. As for the living room carpet, the stock Mini-T without an optional rechargeable 5 or 6-cell pack would be perfect. I can't safely recommend the RC18T or any others, because I don't have them nor have I ever driven them. I'm sure they're great cars, but I can't recommend something I've never used. I hope this helps you out in your decision!

any of them are good. RC18t/RC18mt are both very fast out of the box with their big 370 motors. I dont own one but i have driven my friends many times. I personly own the mini t. With a 6 cell batter pack and a 20 dollar mod motor youll be going fast. I would said mini t or rc18t

I have the ThunderTiger ZT-2. It has served me well, extremely durable. Have had many many hard crashes. Never used the original setup, mounted a CC Mamba ESC + 6800Kv motor from the start. I like the fact that the pinion & spur gear is well protected, I've had no damage due to dirt/gravel because of it. Downside is that it is 2WD. Its not that fun (anymore :D ) to do wheelies or flipping over when running at 50-60km/h. I've had it up to about 80km/h. I bought it because of the price and the protected gear. I guess there are better alternatives for you if you are into racing.
