I need HELP mounting my BIG BORE SHOCKS!!

I got the rear big bore shocks for my stampede. ON the stocks ultrashocks to mount the lower portion of the shock it used a ball screw. These big bore shocks use a little rotating thing which the ball screw wont fit through. Which screw should i use? Could i use self-tapping screws?

I had the same problem with my rustler,
the lower end of the shock has a captored ball end. all it is, is the same plastic piece that's on the stock shocks with a little pivoting insert that is popped into
place. I just popped mine out with a pair of pliers. Then I popped the lower end of the shock onto the pivoting ball-screw.

thanks. i just switched the ends onto my big bore shocks from the ultra shocks.
