Why do you want to go for pure speed? Fast isnt anything if you dont know how to drive, and considering your using "I want the fastest" without knowing what it means, I could tell your new to this hobby.

Have you ever driven a REAL R/C car? What kind was it if any?

If you are just getting in this hobby, dont go for the "fastest." Any car will be faster than what you are used to, literally, ANY. A hobby class R/C is faster than pretty much anything you can buy. Start off with a Traxxas Rustler, Traxxas Stampede or something RTR (Ready-To-Run). It will go 20mph, which is most likely at least twice as fast as any car you've driven. Dont ask for the "fastest," you'll end up spending way into the thousands of dollars for what you want. Not to mention it will DEFINATELY be too fast. Start off with a RTR car, it will easily seem like the "fastest" after you get it. And you you want it to go faster, you can upgrade it.

You want fast go brushless!!! Trust me you'll find what your looking for with a brushless motor!! It's built for pure speed and saves you a whole lot rather than buying motors with brushes!! You have vertually no maintenance like cutting comm, changing brushes etc... Just wipe it down thats all!! You'll definately blow brushed runned cars as long as you can handle the speed!!! A guy told me once that fast ain't fast till you go brushless!!RaDWeLD..

Brushless,smushless.....don't tell me my car can't run with a brushless car.......i love the guys at the strip who say "brushes are for painting, not racing" I just nod and let my car do the talkin' for me!I have to give props to my man Mike Dunn who built my motors for me(oh,whats that?motors you say?)Yes....my car runs on dual mods.....i'll race anybody with a brushless car.......i'm not cocky or anything...i just get sick of people thinkin' you can't get mad speed out of a standard brushed motor!!

I have one that collects dust really fast. But, you prolly don't want that one ?

What do you mean by "fast" ?

Haven't you learned yet ?
SLOW is FAST.

For fun, and to prove a point to all those freakazoid nitronerds, I custom fit an OS CZ10 (or whatever that funky little .10 OS engine is) into my GT for a rather large racing event. I ran this motor in all 3 heats and the main. Out of 18 entries I placed 3rd. On top of that, I was running 10% nitro and had a BOX STOCK (other than the engine) truck.
There was a big push to get me disqualified. The race director considered it, but decided against it because he wanted my point to be heard. It was heard quite loudly that day ;)

SLOW IS FAST, especially in nitro land.

I know you asked about electric. Sorry, I just thought my story was a relevant to your question :p

Since no one has answered the question, read the insane speed run issue.

Hey i like speed... you dont have to be slow to be fast... gun the trigger and let it fly... for all you granny drivers, i'll be passing you in the "no passing" zone. and ya i do electric... nothin wrong with a brushless motor and nothin wrong with a brush motor... and YA dual motors ROCK... all you nitro fiends can huff all the fumes you want :p in life there's a speed limit, in the world of RC, there isnt one... so let em go fast and be fast... quite your wimperin and pull over granny :D just have fun :D

I'll throw in my .02 cents the way I do whenever this conversation comes up.

If you are running a drag car, speed is a wonderful thing... but for the 99% of us who aren't, just remember one very important thing.. actually three things.

1) Driving wins, not speed, all speed does is put in the pipes faster :)

2) Races are won in corners, not on straights
3) At the end of every straight there is a turn.
