Hey guys
I am looking into getting a R/C car, I did have those ones from department stores when I was kid and they just sucked. I would always ruin the gears from going backwards and forwards, and one time running it though a puddle.
I didn't know that they had gas powered and battery powered cars until about a year ago, and I would like to get back into this again. Its been about 14 years since I last had a department store car, so I don't really know what I am doing or what I am really looking for:confused:
I wanted to get nitro, but from what I have read they are messy, and they seem to be harder to tune then Electic. With electric they are easier to get going etc, but they don't have the noise and the smell of exhaust like nitro.
I wanted to get into touring, I like customizing, doing rims, painting etc. I am not mechanically inclined to when it comes to engines. With the type of area the car is going to be running in(just in the neibourghood) its just pavement and parking lots etc. I've only heard of two good brands(HPI & Assoicated) and I decided to go with HPI. I liked alot of the bodies they had, but the engines I had no idea.
All that I know I need right now is....Paients, and a RTR kit from HPI. From what I've read on here there is alot of vertians on this board, so any advice is welcome..
Thanks guys..
