Hey, What i do, is i take the circuit board out of the case, get new wire, of course(oh, and plug your soldering iron in, so it is hot when you start) get your solder, wire cutters, pliers, adn all, then find where the antenna connects to the sircuit board, then CAREFULLY heat it up, and take it off, do not use to much heat, it can damage some of the electronics, you should be very careful, then,t in the new antenna, you don't need to strip much of the insulation off, and then heat it, put it to the board(hold wire with pliers) and put back together! it is not hard to do(i had to do this last night) and remember, just be careful while heating

I would also like to know where to get wire/what kind of wire to use for an antena.
and btw, the antenna has to be a certain length for its frequency. I forgot the formula, but if you have the old wire that got torn off, you can use that as a guide for lenght.

I just make it pretty long, You can buy some wire from futaba, but i didn't have any money when i ripped it out, so i just used a thin wire, i have had no problems with it. You just need it to be pretty long. I let mine dangle out of my antenna straw about 2-3 inches
