best CAR for friend

I'm looking to but the best rtr setup it could be from a kit wiht radios or w.e and pices but it has to add up to 200$ it gonna be electric any ideas. i wanna get my friend into r/c. so ill have someone 2 bash with. any suggestions. off-roada is preffrered and make it decent not like a rusty or something. something hell enjoy for a bit

You're not gonna find a reliable basher new for $200. Try looking on ebay, you can find stock EMaxxs and E-Zillas used on there for your price. Or you can go smaller with a Losi XXX or a Stampede for well under $200 used.

under $200, basher, and can have fun for a while?? IMO, at that price-point, hard to beat a stampede :D
I know i enjoy mine, you can run it in the house if the waether is bad,( gear it LOW and do monstertruck-style racing), parking lot, off road, and it jumps awesome, and i have done well at local tracks with it as well :p It really seems to offer alot for the money, good off-rod prowress, stable, with merely a motor change, is quick enough most novices and with a hot motor, enough for advanced users..

Maybe i am biased, i dont know, maybe even MORE biased to the stampede then Vato Loco :eek: ( is that possible???? LOL) i just know i have really enjoyed mine, i use it 2-3 times a week, and have had really no problems....

take a look at the duratrax ST or BX PRO RTR it's a great kit, really fast. I've been into RC for awhile, but when one of my buddies wanted a car too, we started searching for something that could be competative, and not break hi walet in the process. Check it out The Duratrax BX won the buggy shoot out a couple of years ago I can't remember what else was in it, but deff. the bandit, and a B3(either a B3 or a B4 can't remember) I can't remember if there was a xxx in there. Sportwerkz is also coming out with some nice cars latley

It doesn't really seem like there's anything new about them other than the slipper, tires, wheels, and eletrics. You can't polish a turd, but you can put a 12T motor and a 23tooth pinion in it and make it go 35mph on 7 cells.

yeah the stampede is a good choice, and is semi within your price range, the price posted on this forum is a little over, but im sure you can find a used on on ebay as soon as they come full force for like 175ish. This stampede is actually interesting, and i may pick one up, or just wait for a new emaxx
