Tamiya DMD unit

Does anybody know if that DMD unit for the Tamiya Tanks will accept motors of 14T or above? Any help is greatly appreciated.

No they are made to handle to stock motors.
The old king tiger's DMD are 2 540's
the New Tiger I's DMD are 2 380's

Can I just hook up normal R/C Gear? (electric speed control with a 17T motor or so?)This would be for the sherman Too. I would also like to make the gun and turret elictically moveable, I have seen some people do it before. How easy is it?

i don't think you can because the DMD unit takes care of controlling 2 tracks at varying speeds making it possible to drive

I don't think that these tanks parts and tracks can handle anymore than stock motors geared appropritely.

you can aad motion to turrets, gun flashes, etc, but I doubt modifying the tranny will do anyhting but waste parts and money.

Ok, thanks. I mean It only does like two MPH. I wanted it to a bit faster than that. And those little mabuchi motors only cost $3
