brushless ????

I was wondering, I recently got a MHZ Gecko boat (13 in long 7 in wide) little guy! I would like to know if I could put a mamba 6800 brushless in it as long as I ran a small prop? Would it really over heat? I would run 6-7 cells (2/3). Please let me know if you have any input on this project..

my opinion...that motor might be a little hot. 6800kv may be ok if you're gearing it down in a car, or building a SAW boat. i have one micro now, and another on the way. both will be powered on 6 cells, and i'm getting motors in the 4500-5100kv range. small props aren't the easiest to come by. you can find some smaller props here:
