Team Losi XXXT-CR caught testing

Luck has certainly been on our side with Team Losi scoops lately, as we ran into Team Losi's Travis Amezcua and Jeremy Felles while testing the new Triple-XT CR. Amezcua and Felles were testing the truck at the world famous Hot Rod Hobbies. The track was blown-out from 1/8-scale buggies and truggies, but it didn't phase Amezcua or the new truck. The truck looked composed and took to the bumps really well, considering the size of the massive craters and ruts created by the nitro cars. It's pretty much a guarantee that Amezcua and the rest of the Team Losi crew will be debuting the new truck at the 9th Annual Hot Rod Hobbies Shootout July 14th-16th. Unfortunately I couldn't get any close-ups of the truck, but we do know the Triple-XT CR will incorporate most of the design features of the Triple-X CR, including the Triple-X transmission, revised rear suspension for increased stability, rebuildable dogbones, new high-strength ball studs, variable length arms, and revised steering rack. You can also expect to see ti-nitride shock shafts and hingepins, as well as a host of other anodized goodies.

There are no pics or info on the http://www.horizonhobby.com (http://) website, but I did a search on the words "XXXt cr" and I got 2 results for Losi Truck arms.

The site says these arms are for the XXT,CR,XXXT. I'm not big into Losi Truck history, but I don't think they came out with a CR truck yet. Did they let something out of the bag or is this a typo????

Losi did have a CR back in the day. The arms that will come on the xxx cr and xxxt cr will be VLA.

The original XX series of cars had the toe in located in the hub like most of the cars of the day. The CR version of those cars came out a couple years later and they moved the toe in to the pivot block instead of the hubs to sweep the arms forward to create the toe in. The parts you found are from that original XXTCR truck. These new arms will more then likely be EA3 and they will certainly be VLA. I am guessing all losi needs to make is the Longer chassis and front arms in the new materail. They revised the front and rear towers on the buggy so I would expect changes to those on the truck. New rear arms will required as well due to the different offset of the CR rear block. Just about everything else is shared from the buggy or the previous truck.

Yep it will replace the XXX-T MF2 kit. Electric truck rules state it must be 2wd. Losi is making racing cars here.

I wonder if the XXX-4CR will be the buggy bassed on the JRX-S. XXX-4CR probably wouldn't be the name though, it'll probably be JRX-4.

Losi was testing a 4wd buggy based on the JRXS a while back around the time of the worlds but they said that they were almost positive it would never make it to production.
