my rustler wont run. and i dont know why. please help.

ok. my truck was runnin fine monday. but yesterday, i charged up my trinity 2400, and went out. and i hooked it all up turned it on, and the esc (novak fusion) light came on, the steering servo buzzed, but did not go straght liek they usually do. and i tried the turn the wheels, and got nuthing. adn i tried to give it some juice, and nothing.

monday i was jumpin really hard, and i did like 2 full front flips and landed them, btu like 15 others, i landed on the roof. and i came out of all of them fine. and i ran down the pack and had no problems before i turned it off.

it may be my crystal, btu i dont know how to check that other than by buying a new one. my 2400 is all charged and its bad to leave them charged, so i need to know whats wrong pronto.

i did run it into a ditch full of water about a month ago, btu i had no problems. except my 2400 batt, i thought at the time anyway, fried. (this was the same one i had monday) but, i ran it for the heck of it, cuz it was fully charged when it stopped working when i went into the ditch. and, all of the condensation was out of it, so i figured what the heck, cant hurt, and it didnt hurt. cuz i found out it works!!! so it cant be the battery anyway, cuz the esc turned on too.

i think it may be my crydstal. how much are they? i just have the traxxas tq.

umm, opk heres a solution-

When you first run a Novak ESC (before you do anything)
- Check your radio to see if the Adjustment knobs are Zeroed.
- Turn everything on
- Take your range pole (that came with the esc) and press and hold the blue button-
Once you do that, at the same time, full throtle it with no hesitate, just full throtle it.
-then once it turns green, Full Brake until teh led starts to flicker. then release everything, than it should work.

-Another is for your servo take ou tthe servo saver (if theres one) than you shoudl be able to turn it.

One time my tq reciver want working, so i took the bottom plate off by removing the four screws, and lightly pushed the "poles" down (the thing thatyour esc/servo plugs into... i dunno what your sposed to call em) and one of the went down, so i CAREFULLY solderered it back down so it was solid, and then it worked fine.. btw, when you take the bottom thing off you might be supirised on how much dirt gets down there.

yea. ive already programmed the esc. i know how to do that. thats not the problem.

as for the receiver, i have opened it before, cuz a while ago my antenna ripped right next to the rx and i had to take it apart, it was pretty interesting lol. i have sealed it up with electrical tape, bu if i can, im going to use a tip i saw somewhere by putting a small rubber band in it before i close it.

i need a new receiver anyway. its real cheap, like 22 bucks or something, so i think ill just do that. it may be awhile though. im kind of poor right now. and im in the process of trying to buy a t-maxx.

why not just get a new radio? Traxxas TQ's ar enot the best, if you want somethign worht your money, thats where a Futaba comes in handy, and it's worth the money, nit just a cheap $22. A cheap $22 tells you something. The cheaper is not always teh better in the rc hobby.

i dont need a good radio. im going to buy a t-maxx and use the rustler as my secondary car to let my friends drive it.(boy, thats a scary thought!!!) i also am going to try to destroy it, so i dont need anything good.

ok crystals, the furabas and airtronics run around $20-$24. but if your on 27mhz. you can get the traxxas crystals for $10. i have 5 sets of them i only need to more for the complete channel. and i have had no problem at all with them.
