My LHS sold me a 30 ohm clip-on battery discharger ($3.00)which they said they use on their batteries. How does this type of discharger differ from 10 ohm dischargers? the LHS said it takes around 5 minutes to discarge a used pack andI can leave it on indefinetly. Is this stuff true? How often should I discharge my batteries? After each use or after 5-10 uses?

I'd say after 3 runs. But after that 3 runs with a battery pack, you should give i tth enight to rest. If you run abettery pack more than 3 times a day, it starts to lose power.

I have 5 batteries that I use so I usually run them only once a day.

Brian- I wouldn't spend $3 on hat charger, thats just as same as driving your r/c until it won't move. Get WS Deans Lightbulb Discharge if you really want the most life out of your batteries. Trust me, I used a cheap discharger and it ruined and made it leak.

Thanks for the tip. I'm still on stick packs at this point. Is there a good discharger I can use on them?
