I'm gonna get a Fantom Modified Motor (probably a 10-turn) but i don't know which one to get... double, triple, or quad... what does each of these mean??? does the one offer more torque or more RPM or something??? thanks for all of your help.

ok... i wasn't sure if there was any topics about that or not... but that confused me more. :(

so what everyone was saying was that low winds have a higher rpm... and say a quad has some serious punch and torque? i guess that's it.

No, actually, I'd say it's generally the other way around. The multiple winds tend to have smoother power bands, which can make them a little easier to handle, & they're usually a bit more efficient, but they get that at the cost of punch.... :)

so a single is massive torque??? and quad has more RPM??? but quad is efficient???

Basically, but the differences are pretty minor... :)

The lower the turns and winds the more top end it will have, and vice versa.

A 10 Single will have a considerable amount of punch, but will really show its stuff when its winding out.

A 10 Triple should have a TON of low end, smoother power band but will fall just short of the 10 single in top end.

At the 10 turn level you won't see a tremendous about of difference, but the difference between say a 17 single and a 17 triple is usually pretty noticable to someone with some racing experience.
